…the autumn leaves..
What has this year been but a whirl of excitements and delights?
Autumn poem
Autumn a coming
Leaves a falling
Trees a changing
Children a singing
Lights a shining
Santa a coming
Present a wrapping
Dinners a cooking
Wine a drinking
Puddings a steaming and
Autumn a coming
Loved it . Thank you for reminding me of all the good parts of autumn. After the wind and rain last night it’s so easy to regret the end of summer and forget that autumn brings delights all of its own.
Thanks
With it being half term i have time to fill it in.
Good one Nick! You are clearly a Christmas fan as you mention Santa a lot! 😉
Indeed i am. CHRISTMAS
HALLOWEEN!

Love the images that come to mind while reading this
Thanks. Love playing with words and images
This scanned beautifully, can almost imagine it being sung, in front of a fire, glass of mulled wine to a strumming guitar. mmmmm lovely.
MMMMMMM indeed, Love the picture you have from my work. Exactly the same as i was thinking . SUPER!! 🙂
I really like the rhythm of this poem. Wonderful job.

I loved the repetition and rhythm of this piece. Bit worried about references to Christmas, my birthday comes first!
Thank you. I am glad you thought it was good 🙂
Do you really steam pudding? I’m coming to your house, Robin

Oh gosh, I can’t even think about Christmas until at least the beginning of December! A great Autumnal piece 🙂
