Harry Potter

Today is Wednesday 20th July and I have just been to see Harry Potter and the Deathly hallow. This is the second instalment of the final book by J.K.Rowling. The book is very well written and one of these book that I would recommend for the G&T within Upper KS2 and I would recommend and have invested in the book on audio which we can listen to as a class.  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is an outstanding book and the film is as good, if not better in my opinion. The film has most of the major parts of the book in it and the film captures a lot of the events and magic that J.K.Rowling intended when she wrote the book. The film is moving at times and brings the book to life in an eventful and lively way. The ending is good and in my opinion it is a fitting end to the series.

This is the final instalment of the films and the series has now been completed. The journey has been an enjoyable one and I feel that the books and films have been good in getting children to read and to try and understand the reasons behind reading. Overall I think that series has had a positive effect on Primary education.
